What is it? Emotions-Centered Coaching is a methodology that focuses on the emotion or emotions that are at the root of a coachee's challenge. We know that our coachees can get tangled up in their story and struggle to find a way out of it. Often we cannot think our way out of a situation, but by investigating the emotions that are generating it we find new possibilities.
In this session you will learn:
- To articulate emotions with precision and how to deconstruct them into their three essential elements
- To listen for the emotions associated with and underlying your coachee's breakdown
- To fluidly weave emotional distinctions into your coaching conversations
- The structure of Emotions-Centered Coaching™ model and how to integrate it into your coaching
- To navigate your own emotions in the service of your coachees
As a bonus, Dan will coach a volunteer to demonstrate how Emotions-Centered Coaching works and we'll discuss your insight and questions.
